I am using soft tofu for the eggs in this recipe. Shakshuka is a dish from northern Africa that normally uses eggs poached in a spicy tomato sauce. It is very popular throughout the Middle East. There are literally thousands of different recipes for shakshuka and you can enhance this simple recipe any way you like.
